At Bartholomews Meadery you will discover many wonderful products made by the bees including finest quality unprocessed honey, propolis (a natural antibiotic), bee pollen, beeswax and royal jelly products.

All Bartholomews Mead wines have excellent keeping qualities. They can be recorked and kept in the fridge for up to six weeks. The Liqueur has similar keeping qualities to a port.

Bees

These industrious little creatures produce many delicious, healing and useful substances which we humans use.

Circle of Friends

In October 2000 twelve friends of Bartholomews Meadery met for a joyful celebration. Under the guidance of artist Barbara Thayne twelve scarecrows were dressed.

As these scarecrows were of a very temporary nature Barbara decided in 2004 to make a sculpture incorporating everybody who worked at the Meadery at that time.

A clay face was cast of every person and these were attached to large Jarrah poles.

With this sculpture we celebrate the Manifesto of Friendship beyond differences. We hope you all enjoy this living prayer for Happiness and Tolerance in everyone.
